A learning program teaching children science and technology basics using LEGO® bricks has opened a new, bigger venue to celebrate its 2nd year in Switzerland.
Echichens entrepreneur and mother-of-four, Valérie Couderc, opened the BRICKS 4 KIDZ® Creativity Center in Saint-Sulpice two years ago. Since that time, the company has seen a steady growth in demand for its after-school and in-school workshops, as well as for birthday parties and holiday activities.
Valérie opened the new, bigger resource center in October and will host an official inauguration on Friday, 25th (16h to 19h) and Saturday, November 26th 2016 (9h30 to 13h), where children will be able to take part in a free LEGO® bricks play session, whilst parents enjoy a drink! The new address is: Rue du Centre 42E in Saint-Sulpice.
The company also offers workshops at venues in Geneva and Martigny and at several schools.

At Know-it-all passport® there aren’t many kids camps that escape our notice – we have virtually every type of activity covered in the book and on our website, so no matter what your child is into, you can be sure to find something that matches his/her needs.
However, it’s not every day that a camp makes up sit up and say, “Wow, this is something really special – can we sign up as well as the kids?!"
So when we first heard about Maddy Deigert’s series of Peak Results camps last year, we were sure they would be an immediate success – and they were! Which is why she is back again this year with a whole new offering, likely to be fully booked within days of being announced! So if you’re interested, don’t delay in signing up!
This summer, Peak Results is offering 4 main camps for kids aged 5 to 17, that are sure to ignite your child’s creativity and curiosity, whilst allowing them to indulge their adventurous or entrepreneurial spirit. In short, the camps combine creative and logical thinking, physical activity, imagination, hands-on building, a bit of science and math, adventure, some traditional camping activities, parent involvement and a whole lot of fun! While the camps are based in Gilly, the adventurous component of each of the activities will take place all over Switzerland.
May and June are usually two of the busiest months on knowitall.ch and this year is no exception. Over the last few weeks we have received a record number of requests to post information about summer camps on our Activities Calendar for Kids, and the emails are still coming in!
You can see the full listing of camps by visiting our Activities Calendar for Kids. Don’t forget that you can filter the camps by category by using the colored legend at the bottom of the page. The Characterising ExOPlanet Satellite (CHEOPS) mission is a joint ESA-Switzerland project, dedicated to "searching for exoplanetary transits on bright stars already known to host planets". The instrument will be able to point towards almost any location in the sky and perform ultrahigh precision photometry. The CHEOPS Space telescope is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2017 and will look from the Earth's oribit at planets in other solar systems.
Send your drawing into Space!
Together with the CHEOPS Space telescope, the CHEOPS Mission Organization plans to launch 3000 children’s drawings into space. They will be engraved in miniaturized form onto a plaque, which will be mounted on the telescope by a prominent representative of the Swiss Confederation.
Who can participate?
All children between 8 and 14 years who live in Switzerland or another ESA member country can submit a drawing. For Drawing-Campaigns outside Switzerland, the respective space agencies for each country are responsible. A list of contact addresses for different countries will be made available through the CHEOPS-Children’s Drawings Campaign website shortly.
