5th edition of the Open Air Cinema at the Château de Prangins The Château de Prangins - Swiss National Museum and Visions du Réel - International Film Festival Nyon, will offer three evenings of Open Air Cinema on Thursday 26, Friday 27 and Saturday 28 August 2021. Documentary and fiction films will address themes related to the temporary exhibition GAMES and to the history of video games. In the magnificent setting of the castle's main courtyard, two evenings dedicated to documentary films and one to fiction await moviegoers under the stars. On Thursday, August 26, three short documentaries Swatted, Contraindre and My Own Landscapes plunge us into the world of video games by tackling different themes such as the violence exerted by the state on individuals or virtual reality as a tool to prepare soldiers for their future battles. On Friday, August 27, the documentary film by Natalia Almada Users considers in the form of a dystopian essay, the future of her children in a technological world, between wonder and fear. On Saturday, August 28, a fictional film directed by Steven Spielberg will be shown, about a world on the verge of chaos. Ready Player One tells the story of the virtual universe OASIS - created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday - in which humans take refuge in 2045. The film follows the frantic race to find the vast fortune Halliday has hidden in the OASIS. Visitors will be able to buy their tickets online or on site that evening, subject to availability. The screening will take place in all weather conditions outside. Single ticket price: CHF 10, including a guided tour of the museum at 19:30 |
