This is a national holiday in Switzerland. Schools, shops, and offices will be shut. Some of the garden centers will be open if you want to shop such as Schilliger Gland, Botanic, and Jardiland in France. Most museums will also be open on Thursday and with the rain forecast this week, it might be a great idea to take in one or two!

The upcoming Lac du Cygne exhibit, from September 2021 for one year, is all about the importance of the local swans to our Lake Geneva. To contribute your swan item: photograph, patchwork, artwork, ceramic, glass, or plastic swan to this show, then please take it to the museum during opening hours to have it documented and receipt made. What a great way to take part in a local exhibit! Click here to read our article and see some items we were able to dig out.

Everything is in the title but the amazing colors and shapes this photographic artist achieves is quite extraordinary. MORGES TULIP FESTIVAL: GREAT QUALITY BULBS FOR SALE

Normally, you could wander around the park and pick the bulbs you want. This year, the sale will again take the form of a "surprise tulip bulbs bag" made up of different bulbs that have been put together by the festival's gardeners. When you plant them this autumn in your garden you will have surprise mixes of blooms in spring 2022. There will be a drive-in and a walk-in circuit to abide by sanitation regulations. The suprise tulip bulbs bag will be sold for CHF 10.-; it will not be possible to choose your own bulbs, maximum 5 bags per person. Click here for more information.
