Established in Martigny in 1889, the Morand Distillery offers products that embody Valais and a long tradition of quality. For more than a century, Les Bons Sirops Morand has been an integral part of the Swiss family life. The traditional recipes, pomegranate, lemongrass, orange blossom, nostalgia for a rediscovered childhood. Apricot and pear syrups highlight the exceptional flavor of Valais fruit.
Fruits and natural flavors, all of the best quality. The current range, in constant development, offers more than 50 fruit or flavor syrups to discover.
I tasted about 15 of the 56 types of concentrated sirop that is synonymous with Switzerland and ended buying 6 big bottles for home and as gifts.
Of course for those into liqueurs, they are best known for Williamine and Apricotine made out of pear and apricots respectively. Next time I’ll organize myself to get the guided tour of the facility.
A guide trained by the 4th generation of the Morand family
A 1.5 hour tour presenting the history and art behind the Morand products. At the end of your visit, a bartender will be at your service to introduce you to Morand's Swiss Cocktails in a mini version. Taste creations such as the Williamine Tonic, Williamine Mojito, Apricot Caipirinha, Royal Framboise and/or other original cocktails. At the end of the tour, you can taste some of the Eaux-de-vie, Douce de®, Liqueurs or syrups that have caught your attention.
