The Lausanne stage
Stage 8 of the Tour de France will run for 184 km from Dole.

It will end near the Pontaise stadium (alt. 604 m.), north of the city of Lausanne.
The peloton will challenge the slopes of Lausanne over 9 km.
Coming from the Vallée de Joux, they will enter Lausanne from the south. They will ride up the Avenue d'Ouchy, then cross the Place Saint-François to cross the Chauderon bridge before facing the 12% slope of the Avenue de Beaulieu.
