Designed for long-haul travellers and opened in December 2021, the East Wing of the Geneva airport's building took 10 years to create. With an industrial aesthetic and 520m long, it can accommodate nearly 2’800 passengers per hour at departures, and 3’000 at arrivals.

The event will start with an introduction by M. André Schneider, CEO of Genève Aéroport, followed by a short presentation on AERIA+, the association to promote the presence of an efficient airport infrastructure supporting western Switzerland’s economy. The main presentation will be by Genève Aéroport, who surveyed international companies and produced a report on business travel and new passenger trends: how do passengers behave now that we are seeing the end of health restrictions? Did companies have to rethink how they incorporate business travel into their strategy?

After the presentation, join us for an exclusive visit to discover how the construction of the East Wing has been a major technical challenge, with tarmac on one side and buildings very close by on the other. The tour will include a visit of the airport's fire station and will end with a networking cocktail at the Swiss Chalet restaurant in the presence of André Schneider, CEO of Genève Aéroport.
