artgenève 2022

In parallel to its rich programme of international galleries, artgenève will present a dozen institutional exhibitions.

A series of renowned institutions will be honored at the fair, including: Centre Pompidou, Paris, Serpentine Galleries, London and Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam. In addition, Mamco Genève, Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève, Fondation Martin Bodmer and Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Genève, among others, will represent the regional institutional landscape within the fair.

Among the private and institutional collections supporting the fair, artgenève will be pleased to offer visitors the renowned DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art from Greece, with a retrospective exhibition of the American artist Kaari Upson, and the Ringier Collection from Zurich. An immersive plant installation by artist Meg Webster will be presented as part of the annual artgenève/estates exhibition, in collaboration with the Paula Cooper Gallery from New York, and a hanging installation by artist Jim Shaw from the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum will welcome the public at the fair.

After decorative arts and video art, artgenève will present in 2022 two specialized platforms: the first, entitled Chamber Music, will present a selection of sound installations in a generous space. The second will be dedicated to photography and will include about 10 exhibiting galleries, all new to the fair, focusing on this medium for the occasion.

The Prix Solo artgenève-F.P.Journe will reward the best solo booth presented by a gallery at the fair. The prestigious jury, made up of Lionel Bovier (Mamco), Hans Ulrich Obrist (Serpentine Galleries) and Michael Ringier (Ringier Collection), will choose from among the 17 "Solo Shows" presented at the fair. The winning artist's work will be donated to an institution in the region.

artgenève/art talks will offer a programme of interdisciplinary conferences throughout the fair.
