It seems that people the world over are divided, with opposing views on many subjects – Brexit, Trump’s America, Capitalism versus Equality, Radical Environmentalism versus Climate Change denial. Opinions have always differed, but have we lost the art of civil dialogue? How do we connect with people we disagree with whether they be political opponents or simply neighbours or work colleagues? This ConsciousCafe will seek answers and explore the beauty of listening to others with an open heart and mind. Is civil discourse the way we can find each other at this time of polarisation?
At ConsciousCafe we enjoy conversation about life in a friendly way in small groups whilst having drinks and snacks. It’s a great way to meet new people and expand our horizons. Conversation is usually in English but if a group is Francophone then they chat in French - all are welcome. Arrival is from 18.15H. You buy your own drinks and we ask for a 5chf contribution to the wider costs of the ConsciousCafe non-profit organisation. Check out our new website! https://consciouscafe.org
