Lisa Cirieco-Ohlman and Denise Nickerson invite you to attend the official launch of their two new books, Know-it-all passport 2013/2014 and Education Guide Switzerland 2012/2014.
The launch will take place at a special vernissage, including wine and nibbles, being held from 18h00 at the popular bookstore Payot Chantepoulet in Geneva. With one of the best selections of English-language and children’s books in the region, the shop will remain open until 20h in the evening so you will have plenty of time to browse their book shelves!
Now in its 8th edition, Know-it-all passport® is THE English-language reference book for anything you want to know in Geneva, Vaud and neighboring France: it includes recommendations on everything from shopping, housing and education to birthday party venues, places to eat, night life, and even chocolate! The chapter on OUTINGS AND TRIPS (56 pages) is a book within a book. You won't need anything else!
With a team of 17 people to help her update the latest edition, Lisa Cirieco-Ohlman has included over 750 pages and literally hundreds of new entries in the latest edition, including two new sections covering RULES AND REGULATIONS and DISCOUNTS AND MONEY MATTERS. The new book now features more than 50 chapters, a 27-page index, 2 handy bookmarks attached by ribbons, and useful maps of the area.
Building on the success of Know-it-all passport and its popular SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES chapter, the first edition of Education Guide Switzerland features detailed information on over 250 universities, graduate institutes, international schools and Montessori schools — all educational institutions that offer academic programs in English within Switzerland. Produced by Lisa Cirieco-Ohlman with the expert guidance of Educational Consultant, Denise Nickerson, the new guide follows the tradition of Know-it-all passport, with all entries being listed free-of-charge. Given that the entire book is dedicated to education establishments alone, it has also been possible to allocate each establishment a whole page within the 272-page book. Within each description there are quotes, when available, from parents, students, alumni, faculty, or directors, as well as information on tuition costs, contact details, location, course programs, fun facts and even references to famous alumni!
To see the books for yourself and meet the authors in person, head on down to Payot Chantepoulet this evening. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please note that Payot are offering a 10% discount off both books during the first month that it is on sale in their bookshop - so be sure to head on down to the store before mid-October to take advantage of this offer!
