Mini-train tours, with and without wine-tasting
All aboard the mini-train of Morges for some wine-tasting every Wednesday in July and August from 10h40-12h. Climb on at the Morges dock to participate in a guided tour, tasting, and visit of one of the wineries. More info at this link and to reserve your space. Price: Fr. 12.-/adult and Fr. 7.-/child. Of course, if you want to take the mini-train any other time, this is available daily until 21 August from 10h40 till evening. Have a look at this link to know more about the mini-train. The train will also be running till end-October with a varied time schedule. Choose between the 30-minute city tour or the 60-minute Grand tour (buying a “Grand Tour” ticket entitles you to a daily ticket on the mini-train (unlimited rides) OR to a free entry to the Morges' castle museums; valid only the day of purchase).

morges5-250Audio tours at your own pace
If you don’t have the time to commit to a specific tour and you just fancy exploring the town at your own pace, then you can you can embark on your own audio-guided tour, either by downloading the audio commentary from the internet (click here for the audio and here for the route map) or renting an ipod for just Fr. 5.- from the tourist office with the commentary pre-loaded. Click here for more information.

morges3-250Free tour booklets for kids
Catering for all ages, the Morges Tourist Office is also providing free tour booklets for children wishing to discover the town with their parents.  The booklets are targeted at two specific age groups: children aged 4-6 years old will receive a special booklet, guiding them through the Parc de l’Indépendance, while older children aged between 7 and 12 years can use their booklets to discover the Old Town.

CityGolf for the family
Another fun way to discover Morges is to book yourself a round of CityGolf on the Morges-Préverenges 18 hole golf course,, which runs mostly along Lake Geneva.  Read more about it in the article we published last year launching the new course, or download the brochure here. The website (www.golf-en-ville.ch) also provides more details.
