Newly arrived in Switzerland with her husband last year, Hannah Shan has decided to make a fresh start in her new country of residence and pursue a lifelong passion for photography instead of her usual line of 9-5 work. Brought up in the Philippines, with a photographer for her father, Hannah has had many years of experience learning from a real professional!
Hannah told knowitall.ch, “I love taking natural-looking photographs, capturing real moments in natural light, and telling stories through my photographs. So, in my new business, Hannah Shan Photography, I am offering lifestyle and portrait sessions for families, couples, maternity/pregnancy, babies and children, individual portraits, business portraits, and events."
Hannah specializes in lifestyle sessions which are all about having relaxed, natural, and candid photographs. Her sessions don’t include your usual sit down, look at me, and smile shots but are taken, instead, at clients’ favorite places, be it in the park, the playground or their home, doing what they love by themselves or with their loved ones. Hannah loves to document everyday life. Sessions are usually up to an hour long, but she also offers “Day in the Life” sessions where she will spend a day or half-day with her clients.
With a particular interest in photographing families, Hannah told us, “I love to see the unique personalities of children come out during family photo sessions. They usually don’t want to listen to their parents and just do what they want! My aim is to photograph them being themselves and to capture their real personality!
Hannah offers a comprehensive range of packages to suit individual needs and budgets. In detail, these are:
- Lifestyle and Portrait: Natural and candid photographs, costing Fr. 250.- (+ transport if outside Lausanne) for a photo session up to 60 minutes, as well as 15 retouched digital photos, 1 A4 print, and 2 10 x 15cm prints.
- Day in the Life: Documentary style photographs at a location of your choice, ideal for when family and friends are visiting. Rates available on request.
- Celebrate You!: Everyone deserves to be celebrated and everyone deserves a beautiful portrait of themselves. 45-minute photo session, plus 8 retouched digital files and 1 15 x 20 cm print with 4 pictures. Cost: Fr. 175.- + transport if outside Lausanne.
- Business Portrait: 20-minute photo session, priced at Fr. 50.-, which includes 2 retouched digital files.
- Event: On location photographs for parties, anniversaries, conferences, talks, and other special events. Rates available on request.
- Bespoke Packages: Available on request.
