A new dry cleaning service has been launched in the Lake Geneva region, which aims to fit in with the hectic lifestyles of its clients.

Called “On My Way”, the new service allows clients to register their garments for cleaning online, and then drop them off at any of their 20 partner service stations, conveniently situated on motorway routes and in towns and cities in the Lake Geneva region.

The pioneering “On My Way" concept is the brainchild of long-standing friends, Cédric Rimella and Carlos Serrano, who recognized the need to simplify people’s lives by giving them access to an easy and efficient, high quality dry cleaning service on their daily commutes.  

Each of the 20 drop-off and pick up points has been carefully chosen to avoid clients having to make a special detour to drop off their dry cleaning.  20% of them are located on the motorway network and the rest are situated in the region’s towns and cities.  Easy access, coupled with flexible opening times (06.00-22.00, 7/7 and 365/365), enables clients to cut down on their journeys and devote the time saved to other activities.

To provide the most efficient service to its customers, the On My Way website has been optimized for all interfaces (including computers, smartphones, and tablets) to allow access to the service anytime, anywhere. Registration, the service ordering process, choice of drop-off and pick up-points, and payment can all be done online.

When clients place their first order with On My Way, they are given their own On My Way carry bag, free of charge, with their Member Card attached. After registering their garments online, clients just need to leave their bag at one of the 20 drop-off points along their route. Each On My Way carry bag is equipped with a paperless Track & Trace system that assures traceability from the moment it is dropped off to when the client retrieves it 2 to 5 working days later. Once clients receive an email confirming their laundry is ready, they can specify at which collection point they would like to pick it up - and they don't need to worry about presenting a ticket or having cash to pay, as everything is managed online!

Cédric and Carlos have managed to keep their prices highly competitive in spite of the considerable added value service provided by On My Way. With all their cleaning being processed by the market leader for textile cleaning in Switzerland, Lavotel SA, prices range from Fr. 6.50 for a shirt, to Fr. 13.- for a simple skirt and Fr. 15.- for a jacket. They also offer a "Frequent Washer" scheme, which operates much like a loyalty card, and rewards customers with gifts or tokens for every Fr. 500.- spent with On my Way.

One client, Ellen Mills, told knowitall.ch about her experience of the service, "I have recently discovered the services of On My Way and I must say that I am impressed with the whole concept.  They have a user-friendly and rather fun website, and the service is extremely practical time-wise. You can even drop off and pick up dry cleaning at 8.00pm! Unheard of in Switzerland."

She added, "Their garment bag for depositing your soiled laundry, also used to deliver your clean clothes, is surprisingly well thought of and trendy. Service is swift too, it took 2 days to get back my clean garments. Prices are surprisingly standard and reasonable given the extra service involved and clothes are in perfect condition. All in all, a great idea, a super convenient service for busy people like myself at a very reasonable price."

The two partners are already working on future developments to the service, especially for pedestrians and rail passengers. Drop-off points will be opened in the coming months near or inside several railway stations in Western Switzerland. Commuters will be able to drop off their carry bag on their way to work and pick it up a few days later on their way home.
