GO Dive 1

Do you ever wonder what’s going on beneath the water’s surface on Lake Geneva?  Would you like to explore the hidden depths of the lake and make your very own discoveries?

If so, then you should think about getting in touch with Geneva’s local scuba diving specialists, GO Dive, who are offering knowitall.ch readers an impressive 10% discount on all PADI scuba diving lessons booked this summer. For younger fans of the water, GO Dive is also offering a Fr. 100.- discount on its new summer camp for teens aged 15 to 19.

PADI Diving Courses

GO Dive offers a comprehensive range of courses for all diver levels, including both private and group lessons for beginner and certified divers, as well as those who want to specialize in a particular area such as underwater photography.  You can see the full range of courses on offer here: http://www.go-dive.ch/courses/

GO Dive course offers are typically ‘all-inclusive’, so if you see other dive operators offering cheaper course rates, then you may still have to factor in certification fees, course material, and the renting of diving equipment. If you have your own equipment, then the GO Dive price will be reduced appropriately.  So, when you book with GO Dive you can expect to receive:

  • Full PADI learning kit (depending on the course, this includes PADI books, DVDs,) for you to keep
  • PADI E-learning access if applicable for the course (e.g. OWD, AOWD, Rescue Diver and many more)
  • Full Dive insurance (DAN -Diver’s Alert Network) for all student divers
  • PADI Certification Fee
  • Face-to-face theory lessons if wanted/needed
  • Full diving equipment, including mask, snorkel and fins, for the time needed to accomplish the course
  • All diving tanks - no matter how much needed
  • Pick-up and bring back service possible on demand (small additional cost).
  • Organization of everything
  • GO Dive Log Book (when doing OWD course)

To claim your 10% discount on a GO Dive PADI Diving course, please write "KNOWITALL" in the comments box when you make your booking.  You won't be able to see the deduction immediately - you will need to pay a 50% down payment at the time of booking, and the 10% discount will be awarded manually when you pay the remaining 50%.)

PADI Open Water Diver Summer Camp for Teens

On GO Dive’s new Lake Geneva summer diving camp, teens aged 15 to 19 will discover how much fun diving can be! Between 14th and 18th August, they will spend a (hopefully!) sunny week at Hermance beach where they will learn about dive theory, the importance of acting responsibly for themselves and their buddy, and caring for the environment they are in. Every day they will discover a bit more of Lake Geneva and practise important scuba diving skills until they feel comfortable and earn their PADI Open Water Diver certificate. They will finish the camp with an exciting PADI speciality….

Normally priced at Fr. 1200.- for 5 days (or Fr. 1100 for knowitall.ch readers) , the camp includes all the equipment the participants will need to complete their PADI certificate. The only things they need to bring are their bathing gear and towel.  In summary, it will include:

  • 5 days of unlimited diving
  • Small group size (5-7 participants)
  • 2 PADI instructors taking care of you
  • Professional PADI learning material
  • All rental equipment
  • DAN Diving Insurance
  • Snacks, cold drinks
  • Free entry to Hermance Plage all week
  • ‘Project Aware’ environmental class
  • Surprise PADI speciality training, incl. certification

The camp will meet every day from approximately 10h to 16h at the Hermance beach, which is located 20 minutes away from Geneva. The practice area has a sandy bottom, with a gentle slope towards the lake.

Camp organizer, Stefan Meincke, told knowitall.ch “Depending on weather conditions, the visibility can often be good and there are many interesting things to see, such as small wrecks, and a miniature music band underwater. There is even a motorbike that we can ride underwater, and of course fish! It is wonderful to see pikes hunting their prey, observe large schools of baby perch passing by, or watch crabs defending their territory."

discount button150newRegistrations for the camp close on 30 July 2017. The maximum number of participants is 7 so you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
