Urban art using light against the background of the "rade" lakefront area, encouraging the public to enjoy the city and venture out despite the season. Last year marked the 10th edition so we are expecting great things for this 11th edition. You can see the art forms on l'Ille Rousseau, and around the lake front every evening.
On the weekends, creatures of the shadows and lake elves emerge to celebrate the return of the light. All shows are free. See below for more information.

As day turns to night, the Light People appear, guiding everyone into a world ruled by imagination. Murmurs of the World is an evolving and participatory tale, where every memory and legend enriches a collective epic. Giant puppets, mythical creatures, and fantastical characters, born from shared workshops, come to life and move forward in search of beauty. Together, as the story’s heroes and heroines, they invite the audience to walk in the light, revealing a universe where everyone finds their place.

By the glow of flames, legendary creatures emerge from a dark portal, blending magic and martial arts in a mesmerizing ballet. In the shadows, they dance and battle, evoking an ancient world that reveals itself for one night. Geneva's motto, Post Tenebras Lux, comes to life as light triumphs over darkness, offering a fantastical medieval spectacle where each flame whispers of hope and mystery.

In the shadows of our fears and prejudices, an array of little-known creatures—the prickly, slimy, smelly, and mysterious—lights up to proudly shine in a magical parade. This luminous procession, made of lanterns and forgotten creatures, will transform Lake Geneva’s harbor into an enchanting ballet, revealing the unexpected beauty of these unloved beings.
The Geneva Lux Festival invites children and adults alike to bring their own lanterns and walk alongside this radiant fauna.
LA BAL D’HYPERION

An acrobatic, aerial, and poetic finale will conclude this celebration of life led by Compagnie NEO. Suspended in the air, the two performers will move and illuminate themselves in a final dance in honor of the shadowy creatures.
