"Stress is involved in every common health complaint," says Jennie, who has studied chronic stress related disorders for the last 5 years. "Stress affects the adrenal glands which affect your hormones," and, according to Jennie, women are often frustrated by the lack of clear medical answers.
Common symptoms such as low energy, foggy thinking, sleeplessness, weak muscles, weight gain, depression, mood swings, blood sugar issues, skin and hair problems, osteoporosis, PMS, premature aging, loss of libido and hot flushes can all be attributed to chronic stress, adrenal malfunction and hormone imbalance. Yet, often only the symptoms are treated.
As a functional, diagnostic nutritionist and CHEK Practitioner, Jennie says she does not focus on diagnosing or treating the symptoms. "You want relief, but you also want to know why you have symptoms and resolve their cause. Our approach at Peak Of Wellbeing is to identify the underlying malfunctions and conditions at the root of your health concerns. This approach leads to long-term resolution of symptoms, not just temporary relief."
Jennie Delbridge and her business partner Duncan Reeve at Peak of Wellbeing are undoubtedly the "Columbos" of wellbeing and love to solve the mysteries behind poor health conditions. Like the venerable private eye, Jennie applies her training, clinical knowledge and expertise, working with thousands of clients with similar complaints. Jennie has tested many people for hormone imbalance, adrenal fatigue, digestive problems, detoxification capacity, food sensitivities and many common hidden stresses.
According to Jennie, a person who is interested in feeling good and being truly well and healthy, needs to be proactive in the pursuit of the underlying causes of their health conditions to find real solutions.
