The second edition of Education Guide Switzerland is now on sale at retail outlets throughout Geneva, Vaud, and neighboring France. First published in 2012, this popular guide provides comprehensive information on educational establishments offering English-speaking  programs throughout Switzerland or close to its border.

With an extra 128 pages, the new book is now 50% bigger than the previous edition, and includes lots of additional institutions. Responding to feedback from customers of the first edition, the guide also features an updated index with colorful chapter headings to enable schools to be found even more quickly than before. The chapter headings were provided by winners of a special photo competition held during the editing phase of the book.

A wealth of new information including a symbol for summer programs have been added to the guide, along with details on bilingual diplomas, which include English and are being offered by Swiss cantonal high schools. The sections on academic extras, other educational options and schools that are just across the border have also been expanded. Since the next edition of the book is due in 3 years, there are also a number of listings from new schools, which are scheduled to open in the next year or so.

Like the previous edition, each page in the book describes a preschool, school, university, or academic program available in English. The authors, Denise Nickerson and Lisa Cirieco-Ohlman, have invited schools and universities to collaborate in contributing factual content—easily accessible via an icon system—as well as personal quotes from teaching staff, administrators, students, and parents.

Since Education Guide Switzerland was first published, it is clear that the guide has filled a useful gap in the market for those people looking for more information about English-speaking education programs in Switzerland.

Looking at the statistics for book purchases, the guide has proved helpful to the following groups of people:
