A website helping Swiss start up companies advertise job vacancies for free has just been launched on the internet.
Called Jobooh.ch, the site will prove invaluable to new companies starting up in Switzerland, who often have limited resources and can find it difficult to recruit new personnel when faced with costs of approximately Fr. 500.- per month for one job advertisement - a typical fee for advertising new positions through jobhunters or expensive job portals.
For those looking for a new job, the site is very simple and divides jobs into two categories: “Techie” and “Non-Techie”. It is possible to see at a glance those jobs which are full-time, part-time or freelance, and also how many applicants have applied for each job via the site.
Jobooh.ch is the brainchild of Pierre-Alain Masson, an entrepreneur who has founded several companies himself and who has a good understanding of the issues facing new companies setting up in Switzerland. He told knowitall.ch,
“Switzerland is one of the most innovative places in the world and has a huge number of high quality startups, many of which are struggling to recruit new staff. Jobooh.ch is the ideal platform for them, allowing them to tap into a valuable job market which night otherwise prove too inexpensive for them.”
He added, “In universities, startups are often overlooked by students as potential career opportunities, despite the fact that they provide the perfect environment for young people, with innovative ideas. Jobooh.ch should become the first port of call for them – indeed any job seeker with an entrepreneurial spirit, no matter what their position on the career ladder!”
Jobooh.ch currently has jobs ranging from part-time Web-Developers and Freelance Writers through to Business Development Managers and Marketing Specialists.
