https://www.chateaudeprangins.ch/fr/evenement/cinema-open-air-24312 6th edition of the Open Air Cinema at the Castle of Prangins The Château de Prangins - Swiss National Museum proposes three evenings of Open Air Cinema on Thursday 25, Friday 26 and Saturday 27 August 2022, in collaboration with RTS. Several documentaries and a fiction film explore the themes of the permanent exhibition Switzerland. What is it? and evoke, in a new and unexpected way, the present and the past of this small country in the heart of Europe. For this 6th edition, the Château de Prangins and the RTS are joining forces to offer the public unique evenings whose central subject is Switzerland, in connection with the new permanent exhibition Switzerland. What is it? In the magnificent setting of the castle's main courtyard, two evenings dedicated to documentary films and one to fiction await film lovers under the starry sky. On Thursday, August 26, the documentary Les Combattantes by Flore Amos, plunges the spectator 50 years back in time through the eyes of Kelly, a young 18 year old woman from the canton of Vaud, in a Switzerland where women could not yet vote. On Friday, August 26, Martina Chyba's The Swiss Miracle explains the secrets of Swiss well-being. Based on old and recent archives, she gives the keys to the Swiss Attitude with lightness and humor. On Saturday, August 27, we'll turn to fiction, with Claude Goretta's L'Invitation, winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1973. The protagonist, Rémy Placet, inherits a superb property in which he invites his colleagues and office managers, whose tongues and hearts are gradually loosened under the influence of alcohol. Before the screening at 20h45, the audience will have the opportunity to follow a guided tour of the exhibition and to question their own definition of Switzerland. On Thursday evening, Flore Amos, journalist and director, Sylvie Durrer, Director of the Federal Office for Equality between Women and Men, and the curators of the exhibition will be present to open the discussion, after the screening, on the evolution of the role of women in Switzerland. Martina Chyba, journalist and presenter of Miracle suisse, will speak on Friday evening and exchange with the public on the themes of love, money, tranquility and nature. Jean-Luc Bideau, actor in the film L'Invitation, will share his vision of Switzerland on Saturday evening.
