After two editions disrupted by the pandemic, the Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises are finally getting back to their traditional Whitsunday event. On June 4 and 5, more than 200 winegrowers are waiting for wine lovers for a weekend that promises to be very colorful throughout the canton. A unique opportunity to taste the latest vintage just out of the cellar and to discover the extraordinary richness of our vineyards. Tickets are now available online.
Fifty Shades of Red, White or Rosé
The new edition of the Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises promises to be a colorful event. Finally back in its original format, it will allow the public to go back to the cellars to taste the creations of more than 200 winegrowers mobilized during this Whitsun weekend. Thanks to the partnership with Vaud Promotion, the latter will be able to offer a selection of VAUD+ certified local products to their guests if they wish.
A special flavor
Marc and Alain Emery of the Emery Winery in Aigle are delighted with this warm and festive moment to discover their new vintage, which was produced during a year away from the public eye. "This edition has a very special flavor for us as for the whole profession. After two years of pandemic and a difficult year 2021 in terms of weather, we are happy to finally find a normal version". At the other end of the canton, Tristan Perey of Domaine des Abesses in Enchandens is also enthusiastic about the idea of being able to welcome the public in large numbers once again. "The Caves Ouvertes are an excellent way to discover the region and have a good time over a drink. They allow us to reach another clientele that does not dare to push the doors of our cellars, expatriates for example. It's an opportunity to remind them that we are open all year round".
Online tickets
If this return to the spirit of the origins allows us to reconnect with flesh and blood encounters, the tickets themselves are dematerialized and go digital. They are now available online at mescavesouvertes.ch and can be exchanged on the day of the event for a bracelet and a tasting glass. The price is CHF 40.- for a weekend of pleasure and great discoveries, including public transport thanks to the Mobilis day passes that allow you to travel throughout the canton. And don't forget the icing on the cake: each ticket offers a discount of CHF 20.- on the purchase of 6 bottles in the cellars.
