APERTI - an exciting immersion in the backstage of creation

In the heart of spring, from May 21 to 22, 2022, APERTI invites art lovers to discover the works of local artists in the intimacy of their studios, places of multiple creations. An exciting journey that testifies to the vitality of the art scene in the Lausanne region. Beforehand, the theme Interferences between art and writing will be explored during a round table at the MCBA on May 18.

The Lausanne region, a real artistic breeding ground, is constantly seeing the emergence of new artists' studios. These are places dedicated to creation, intimate and mysterious places that fascinate as much as they question. This year, 59 artists welcome the public in 57 studios, including 9 new ones in Lausanne, Lutry, Renens, Prilly, Chavannes-près-Renens and Mont-sur-Lausanne. A great opportunity to walk around Lausanne and its surroundings to discover multiple artistic universes. Between painting, drawing, photography, artist's book, sculpture, engraving, installation, video and multimedia, a large panel of works will be revealed.

Interference between art and writing
As a prelude to the weekend, Aperti invites the public to explore the theme of Interference between art and writing during a round table. It will be a question of reciprocal influences and fertile contaminations that are woven between images and words. A conversation between Vincent Barras - historian of medicine and performer, Margaux Dewarrat - visual artist and Jérémie Gindre - artist and writer. Moderator: Julie Kummer - journalist at RTS. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, 6:30 pm, Auditorium of the Musée des Beaux-Arts Lausanne / MCBA.

The artists exhibit themselves in the city
In order to celebrate art and to poetize the urban space, each artist proposes an image related to his work. A poster campaign in the streets of Lausanne and surroundings will allow the public to discover images proposed by the artists of this edition. From May 2nd.

See you in May for unique encounters in the artists' studios of the region.
