DANSE ASSISE - a workshop at Théâtre Sévelin 36 for people with balance problems, the elderly and/or people with reduced mobility.

Sitting Dance is a physical activity for people with balance problems, elderly and/or with reduced mobility. It challenges the individual by engaging both the body and the mind while sitting comfortably. These workshops aim to improve body awareness and the amplification of physical and sensory sensations. Music, rhythm, songs, poems and various objects are used to accomplish and improve the movements that are still possible. This is a new inclusive project of the Théâtre Sévelin 36 to explore one's creativity with confidence, to meet and to exercise. Happy meetings where the body is honored, contact and conviviality favored within a group, well-being and joy of living. Sitting Dance has a positive influence on health: these moments of surprise and cheerfulness punctuate the daily life of people by offering them new explorations and physical possibilities.
