CIRCLES CYCLES AND SPIRALS OF LIFE

The seasons turn in a cycle and we are moving round the circle from Winter to Spring. Come and be with us for the Spring Equinox when we shall be looking at circles, cycles and spirals in our lives.

These circular patterns, rhythms, and notions about the world, nature and humanity are all around us and indeed always have been - think stone circles and labyrinths.

The Aztecs used a Sacred Spiral 2,400 years ago as a symbol that existence is a continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth - an eternal cycle of time and existence.

The shape was also a reminder of the universe’s vastness and the interconnectedness of all life forms.

Circular diagrams are used to explain and illustrate numerous ideas and behavioural patterns and these can prompt us to reflection .. and of course to discussion in our small groups at the café.

Let us share some of these circular patterns with you, their meaning and usefulness.
