ESCHER: PERSPECTIVES | |||||||
|
|||||||
This exhibition explores the recurring mathematical themes in the work of Dutch artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972), revealing an intriguing harmony between artistic creativity and mathematical rigor. Impossible architectures invite us to discover dimensions and topology, while hyperbolic geometry plunges us into a fascinating world governed by surprising laws. M.C. Escher's ubiquitous tessellations reveal themselves as creative tools for drawing and coloring, as well as for discovering the latest research results.
