PRÉ EN BULLE’S VILLAGE DU MONDE: SRI LANKA
10-11 June 2023
Geneva
Since its creation in 1996, Pré en bulle regularly organizes events for the neighborhood in collaboration with residents and associations such as the Cérémonies du Bonhomme hiver, Fêtes de l'escalade, film screenings, "Jours de Fêtes" in les Grottes. The idea behind the "village du monde"", is to provide a festive and convivial setting by opening a window on other cultures. Villages representing Albania, Mongolia, Russia, Irish and Basque villages, Senegal, Ticino, Portugal, Jura, Colombia, Anatolia, Eritrea, and Thailand, Pré en bulle decided to make 2023's theme on Sri Lanka.

Program in bulk:

  • Sri Lankan meal
  • dance party on Saturday evening
  • typical Sri Lankan games and crafts
  • open-air meditation session on Sunday morning
  • cricket initiations and demonstrations
  • Ceylon tea and coffee
  • calligraphy
  • Sri Lankan handicrafts
  • fashion show and souvenir photos in Saree
  • the elephant-mobile
  • traditional music and dance
  • and many other surprises...

Pré en bulle warmly thanks
the Sri Lanka Association of Geneva, the Kalacharam Association, IBF and the Sri Lanka Cricket Club.

The organization of each of these events is an enriching experience, full of unique encounters and anecdotes that allow the whole neighborhood to travel for a weekend and discover a different culture.

This event is supported by the Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity of the City of Geneva, and the BIE of the Canton of Geneva.
