In December, the cobblestones, the temple and the castle around Pestalozzi Square in Yverdon-les-Bains will be aglitter with the lights of the dazzling Christmas market filled with winter delights.

The Advent season is a magical time, especially in Yverdon-les-Bains. During the four weeks preceding Christmas, the city on the shores of the Lake of Neuchâtel transforms its historic centre into a seasonal and convivial market. On the cobblestones of Pestalozzi Square at the foot of the illuminated castle, several stalls offer handcrafted items and regional delights to taste on the spot or to give as presents. In addition, there are several activities.

A glass of traditional mulled wine is part of the celebrations to warm the visitors gathered around the Christmas tree. Any remaining chills are dissipated in the wine cellars of the castle. Thus warmed up, visitors can discover a few more stalls before sitting down in the temporary restaurant proposing festive winter flavours.
