18 November through 24 December 2022
Montreux Noël is back for its 27th edition and for the first time invites the public to glide through the magic of the holidays!
After a year's absence, Santa's House is finally back on the heights of the Rochers-de-Naye and the iconic Montreux market is back on the shores of the lake, with a major novelty: Light on Ice, a world of ice where children and adults can skate; to be discovered from November 25 to January 8 at the 2M2C Congress Center.
Light on Ice: the Congress Center transformed into a magical ice world
Created in collaboration with the 2M2C and the company La Pati SA, Montreux Christmas offers Light on Ice, an unforgettable and magical moment for the public. Located just a few steps from the illuminated chalets along the quays, the 2M2C Congress Center is transformed to welcome the magic of Christmas through an original ice path.
With family or friends, this path will make the eyes of visitors of all ages shine: skates on their feet, they will be able to stroll through an enchanted forest illuminated, where they will discover a Santa Claus workshop, a polar area with its snow creatures and light shows. A food court with local specialties and an ice bar are also available to warm up after the effort!
Santa Claus' house and workshop in Rochers-de-Naye
Santa Claus will once again joyfully welcome children to his house at Rochers-de-Naye on Wednesdays to Sundays, from 24 November to 24 December 2022, as well as, exceptionally, on Tuesday 6 December 2022.
Possibility of reserving a seat for children aged 0-6 years, on the way up to Rochers-de-Naye, cost CHF 10 (book here).
Santa can be seen flying on his sled
Along the lakeside promenade, every day at 17h, 18h, 19h (plus an added scheduled flight on Saturdays at 16h) you will catch a glimpse of Santa and his sleigh flying high above your head! Between the Espace des Chasseurs and the Place du Marché.
An iconic event reinvented, in complete safety
Entertainment, Christmas magic and tastings are on the agenda for this edition. For 34 days, Montreux Noël will bring together nearly 150 exhibitors of crafts and gastronomy on the Riviera, all in a setting adapted to the health situation. The event has worked hand in hand with the authorities to offer a fun and safe program in a pleasant atmosphere, and above all, as accessible as possible.
An emblematic event, Montreux Noël has welcomed nearly 550,000 people in its past editions, for economic spin-offs of nearly 30 million francs. Although the objectives have been reconsidered in this context of recovery, the organizers (10 permanent employees supported by 130 collaborators during the event) have insisted on proposing a complete offer that meets the expectations of the public, exhibitors and partner associations, which make the event the key player in the region that it is today.
