HEALTHFIRST: MOVEMBER’S MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH
Monday 30 November 2020

movembermask

The annual global Movember campaign addresses important health issues for men.

Every November, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas get involved to raise awareness by organising challenges and events. This year's campaign is focusing particularly on men's mental health and suicide prevention: https://ch.movember.com/en/about/mental-health

I am very excited to let you know that HealthFirst is getting involved this Movember by holding our second free webinar event around mental health. On Monday November 30th, Dr Mecky McNeil and Dr Michelle Wright will be joined by a diverse and knowledgeable expert panel to discuss the importance of men taking care of their own mental health:

Dr Thomas Ihde, a Swiss psychiatrist and president of Pro Mente Sana, Switzerland's leading mental health charity
Dr John Barkat, Mediator for the International Monetary Fund and former head of the United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services
Scott Poynton, Switzerland's English speaking ambassador for Movember
Carl Wahlers, founder of the Blokes and Black Dogs peer-to-peer support group for men

They will consider how wearing a mask is impacting men’s mental health, not just due to COVID-19 and the global mental health pandemic this has unmasked, but also the mask many men wear when being open about their own mental health.

We would be delighted if you could join us and be part of this potentially life-saving conversation for men. Please invite your friends and colleagues to join as well. Together, we can begin the conversation and start to support our anglophone community in Switzerland.

You can find more information and register here.

When: Monday 30th November 2020, 18:30-19:30
