VEYTAUX - CULTURE AND HERITAGE

As part of the Pâkomuzé events, come create a medieval garden and learn the magic virtues of plants. Rediscover nature through the herb garden, an ancient type of vegetable garden cultivated in the Middle Ages. Nuns, monks and the apothecary grew them to heal people or to season their meals. Children are invited to step in their shoes for Easter.

Thanks to Pâkomuzé, come create a medieval garden and learn the plants’ magical virtues. Children can observe aromatic herbs and, with the help of card games, to associate their beneficial actions to the aliments they cure. What is comfrey, rue or sage ? What were they for and do we still use them ? The Bernese garden located at the heart of the castle has its own sqare beds ready to be cultivated. The participants will be able to choose the seeds they want and plant them under the supervision of one of our staff member. The activity takes place from 10 am to 4 pm.
