Summer Family Picnic and Charity Soccer Match

Dear Members and Friends of the Geneva Irish Association,

Now that summer has finally graced us with its presence, on behalf of the association, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to our Summer Family Picnic and Charity Soccer Match.

The event will take place from 1pm on Sunday 7th August 2016 at the Perly-Certoux Football Stadium.

We have put together some exciting events for the day:

· Charity Soccer Match – 11 a side – Irish XI vs Swiss/World XI.

· Children’s Penalty shoot-out with small gifts for all participants.

· 3 Legged race – Wheel Barrow race – Sack race – Long Puck

· Other surprise games on the day.

· Summer Picnic/BBQ

We would invite you to bring along your own picnic and we will have BBQ cooking facilities available on the day should you wish to use. The Geneva Irish Association will offer some beverages for adults and children on the day.

In lieu of a fee for the use of their facilities, Perly-Certoux FC have asked us to make a contribution to a local charity so therefore the winning team of the charity soccer match will choose which charity will benefit and will be announced on the day.

Entry fee for the event can be paid on the day in cash as follows (please note that all proceeds will go to the chosen charity):

Adult - CHF 10

Child - CHF 5

We would be grateful if you could please confirm your attendance by replying to this e-mail in order to facilitate the organisation.

There will be parking facilities available on the day or if you wish to use public transport buses 4,D and 42 all have stops in Perly within 100m of the ground.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible in what promises to be a great day.

Please Note that if the weather is not on our side we may have to re-arrange the event to another date. We will confirm if this will be necessary a number of days in advance.
