If you run a business website and check your Google Analytics regularly, you might know that the “Contact us” page is one of the most frequently visited pages of your site (after the home page, the about page and the resource page). So you want to make sure that you give the visitor all the necessary information he/she needs.
To do that, first let’s analyze why people visit the “Contact us” page:
- they want to call you
- they want to e-mail you
- they want to find out where you are located (which country)
- they are looking for a name of one of your employees
- they need your address to write you an invoice
- they want to see how to find you (map)
- they want to see your Social Media profiles
- they want to know who runs the website/company
As you see, there are quite a number of reasons on why people visit that page. And I’m sure I missed a few.
So now let’s list the information that absolutely has to figure on your “Contact us” page:
- your company’s full name, address, phone number, fax number
- your name, your team members names and responsibilities, relative phone numbers and e-mails (info@ or support@, avoid the full e-mail because of SPAM)
- a short contact form (Name, E-mail, Message. Not more than that.)
- a map if you have a physical office or store
- all your Social Media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube etc.)
- a QR Code for the real techies Smile
- your time zone if you work with clients world wide
- why not add a picture of yourself, if you are a solo-entrepreneur, or your team ?
- or even a short video ?
