I received a HUGE Toblerone bar (4.5kg = 10lbs) for Christmas from my son. I can't imagine we will be able to eat the whole thing so I thought I might use it in some recipes. The first one is a simple, easy, 2-ingredient "mousse", with no eggs. I have made a large quantity to fill the empty containers that my neighbors and friends used to bring me meals while I was ill with coronavirus as a "Thank You.”

toblerone weighing

You can use any measurement but the rule of thumb is:
**1 portion chocolate = 2 portions cream**
1kg (35oz) Toblerone chocolate
2 liters (8 cups) cream (I used 25% fat but 35% will work better)

adding

— In a saucepan, gently heat 500g cream.
— Turn off heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir from time to time.
— Whip cream to firm peaks.
— Add 1/4 of the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture. Stir well.
— Then gently fold the chocolate mixture in thirds to the whipped cream.
— Pour into container, bowl, or glasses.
— Chill for 4 hours till set.
You can alter the amount of cream to chocolate (and use any other brand chocolate), you can also use dark Toblerone for a richer flavor.
