Maha: Thank you!
Hi Lisa,
I have been enrolled in your elist for over a year and really, very, very much appreciate the window into opportunities and possibilities in Geneva that you provide.
But this week, my daughter also benefited from your advice. She is off school having completed the grueling IGCSE exams and so she went into Geneva to find the pianos available for pedestrians to play! She was thrilled to find one and it really made her day! I only wish that you offered a blog to provide other parents with feedback on your advice and updates on fun things to do in Geneva. Perhaps one day?
Until then, thank you for keeping an eye out for us! Being linked in to your network is like having a good, really cool friend!

Hello,
I would like to tell you that I am very impressed with your "contact" link. Jenny has come to my aid on more than one occasion. She is swift and efficient, and of course very courteous. Please take good care of her (and give her a raise soon!).
Also, your site is attractive and relatively easy to use. I am surprised that my ad in September for renting a house was the only one, as is my most recent ad for selling a car!
Come on: get your act together to have more people know(about)itall dot sea-hay-tish.

Deb: Great value
I purchased your Passport book last summer before we came out for an adults-only vacation to see if we could live here while my husband completed a graduate program. The book was amazing to us then and now that our family is here, it's become my bible! I'm so tickled with its comprehensiveness and refer to it constantly. I've found the level of detail to be terrific and the way it's laid out is both functionally as well as aesthetically appealing. We've already "earned" back the price of the book just in using some of the tips for purchases and transportation. Great value, all the way-around.

Know-it-all Passport is a must for anyone moving to or already living in Geneva and Vaud. Myanna: Life-saver
Hi Lisa! I had my first perusal of the new addition today which I picked up on Wednesday. It looks like there are some real gems even for someone who’s already been here for 4 ½ years and is on her 3rd edition! I opened it up to look for something specific and got sucked in. It’s like the days when you used to look something up in the encyclopedia only to get sidetracked reading nearby entries for the next 1/2 hour. As someone living in the Pays de Gex, I love that you keep expanding your coverage of this area. Thanks for all you do!! What a huge contribution you make to all of us in the region! (Dare I say, “Life-saver!!? ;o)Myanna

Andre Besson: Recommended to new arrivals
We read a couple of other books about Switzerland before coming here at the end of March. We did not get this one until after we were here for about a month, and I wish we had it before, as it would have made the first few weeks a lot easier for us and the children. We will certainly recommend it to other new arrivals.

Kate Lanxner: Fantastic book
Many thanks for such a fantastic book. The first thing I did was read all the personal anecdotes highlighted in purple. I find them so interesting. The book has so many helpful hints on leading a more stress-free and fun life in the Geneva area. There is really nothing like it. This comes from the Mom (from Vermont, USA originally) of a 13- year- old and professional nanny and spiritual healer and counselor. Love the new binding as well. It is so easy to work with when it lays flat in your lap or on a table. Great job!

Lisa... LOVE the new look 2005/2006 book - well done! It's even more packed with useful information, contacts, places to go, etc. and I love the little anecdotes and do's and don'ts throughout. I've lived here for years but have discovered lots of new places and useful contacts through your helpful guidebook. Sincerely regret not putting in a large advert for SWISS LABELS (personalised nametapes), but I'll look forward to the next edition for that! Now... take a belated summer vacation somewhere nice and revel in your forthcoming praise. Best, Philippa

Francine Seller: Invaluable
Just to say what an invaluable addition to our life here KIAP has been! The things we've tried only because we read about them there, and the value of knowing up front which places have playgrounds/changing tables/shady areas etc etc etc just can't be overstated! And as the kids get older, new bits of it become relevant that I hadn't really noticed before. So thanks for having the inspiration and energy to carry it through!

Your book has been a great resource for us here in Geneva area. I don't think a weekend has gone by when we haven't checked it for one thing or another. I have even recommended it to people without children as I think its the best book around for activities/places to visit, etc. for adults as well (especially those looking for more than just museums and restaurants). We are now leaving the Geneva area. When/if we return, first thing we will do is buy updated version.

I also have clowns, magicians, make-up artists, puppets and entertainers (games), as well as bouncy castles. The address in your book is no longer valid, it should read: Party Time, 54 chemin de Grand-Donzel, 1234 Vessy. 784 06 07, fax 784 20 71, www.partytimekids.com. Coming to Geneve and unable to speak French, this book has been the most valuable resourse for me and my family. I found a place to take french lessons with childcare at Active Languages, a place to buy english books and magazines at Elm Bookstore, a place to shop for some American food at the American Market and many places for outings with the kids. We especially loved the Swiss Vapeur Parc! One of my favorite parts of the book are all the extras and hints highlighted in yellow.
