ALL AROUND GENEVA WALKING TOUR: TOES IN THE WATER
Saturday 08 May 2021

history womens swimwear 1922 grande

Saturday 8 May: 10h30 – 12h30 14h00 – 16h00

The Bains des Pâquis is an emblematic meeting point in the heart of the Geneva harbour but where were the very first public baths in Geneva and what purpose did they serve? Join me for a story of monsters lurking in the deep, of hanging out your washing in public, of prudish tourists seeking the latest thermal spa treatments and of the social obligation to provide health and cleanliness for all. Don't forget a hat and suncream!

You will need CHF 2.- or your transport ticket as we will be taking the mouette boat across the lake

Start: Brunswick Monument. Jardin des Alpes, Quai du Mont-Blanc, 1201 Geneva, next to the Beau Rivage hotel

Price: Adults - CHF 18.- CASH/ TWINT/ IBAN

THIS WALKING TOUR IS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST FOR PRIVATE GROUPS/OTHER DATES.
