Many of us say I will be happy when I am this, have X, achieve Y or do Z.

But would it surprise you to learn that people who strive for a very difficult goal often feel empty, even depressed, when they have achieved it? It hadn’t made them happy for very long. What’s going on?

We seem to be bombarded by concepts like “Quality of Life” “Work Life Balance” “ Being in Flow” “Inner Peace” “Finding Meaning” etc which prompt us to search for happiness in certain ways, but does the pursuit of happiness stop us from actually BEING happy? What do you think?
